Eric Sings at Interagency Meeting for The Blood Tribe- Canada's largest reservation

During an anti-violence meeting directed towards leaders of the local Blood Tribe, Eric used his song "Little Child" to address the topic of anti-violence. With violence plaguing every part of the world, and to some extent, every family, the music provided a perfect oppurtunity to raise awarness on this issue. The performance was met with applause and gratitude.

Eric Sings at International UN Conference on Human Trafficking in Vienna, Austria

With 1600 conference attendees, from over 100 countries the mulit-million dollar conference was well attended and well received. Famous actors, singers, film producers, researchers, ambassadors, first ladies, ministers, religious leaders, and corporate executives, were all participants in this exciting and momentous forum.

Eric's song "Little Child", re-written to address human trafficking stood out in beautiful contrast to the disturbing, and shocking facts that were discussed the previous days of the conference. Eric wowed the audience with a moving slide show, exposing the human emotions of trafficked men, woman and children. Audience members, from all walks of life, were captivated as Eric pleaded in song "God Above, lead them to shelter, to lay down in peace, help them remember they're meant to be free." The audience was in tears, and it was obvious that hearts had been touched.

With the rise of human trafficking to an estimated 1.8 million children and woman being trafficked each year Eric Proffitt is taking a stand! February 6, 2008 at the Carriage House Theatre Eric will share a message of hope, deliverance and escape for human trafficking.

"Raise the Bar" reaches #3 on Internet Song Contest of the Year'!

With the US elections coming up, "Raise the Bar" is making headlines with its speedy ascension to top spot on the internet song contest, which competes with over 2,000 songs! "I am glad that my song is obviously speaking to a large population of American and non-American voters", states Eric.

Eric Proffitt uses media to support a film which raises awareness for human trafficking. With estimates of up to 27 million men, women and children in slavery around the world, Eric states “When I think of my own beautiful wife and children, I can't bear the thought of others like them being used so selfishly.” “I am happy that my music can be of benefit to such an important cause.”

Eric and his wife Rebecca spent a week filming in the nations capital. With the talents of top notch break-dancers, from the WAIT team, Amazing film team, Kate Tsubata and Mie Smith, and the nations monuments in the background Eric films a poignant music video aimed at inspiring young people to rise up and become leaders of integrity. "With the great men that have led our country in the past, there is no reason why great men and women can't lead our country again in the future", says Eric.
