FAQs

Who is Eric Proffitt?
I am first a husband and father of 5 and second a singer/songwriter and public presenter.

What issues do you present about?
I present about all issues impacting the family and am dedicated to using music to promote freedom.

What presentations have you given in the past?
I have presented for business conferences, school assemblies, youth conferences, rallys, parenting seminars, marriage seminars, homeschooling conferences, adoption seminars, addiction conferences, political assemblies, anti-violence workshops and the United Nations across Canada, the US and Europe.

What is your main focus right now?
I have spent the last two years promoting the cause of freedom in an effort to create a global tipping point for modern day slavery.

Why do you care about modern-day slavery?
I cannot think of a more serious issue impacting the family. Although Slavery is illegal in all countries, it exists in every major city across the world.

What are you doing to end slavery?
I have launched the Run 4 The Rescue- 500 miles in chains to end modern slavery. On August 1, 2009 I will begin this run across the UK and continue for 42 days.  I will speak and sing along the way and will also raise $1 for each of the 27 million people living in slavery today. www.Run4TheRescue.com

What kinds of slavery are you talking about?
When I say slavery I mean just that. People living in bondage, owned and used by another and are forcibly exploited without benefit. This is most commonly (79%) Sexual Slavery or Forced Prostitution but can also take the form of: Child Soldiers, Domestic Service, Slave Labor, or Organ Harvesting etc…

Can I donate to end slavery too?
YES! Because I am DONATING 100% of my time and talents to this event, 100% of your money directly contributes to the success of this campaign, rescuing and restoring victims of slavery and identifying and prosecuting the exploiters.

What are you doing after the Run 4 The Rescue?
I will be launching 'The REAL Man' campaign, a global initiative to end the demand of sexual slavery and restore men as the protectors, and guardians of virtue.

Does your family like what you do?
My family and I work together in everything that we do.
